Spring is here, Summer will soon follow. How many times have you say to yourself “ I wish I could fit in that dress.” But wish is just a wish. Without putting genuine effort in it, the lucky star won't shine upon you. Here are some advice for a healthy, shapely body.

 
Let the oils do the trick
For a stimulating weight-loss treat, make a blend of the following essential oils and add to your bath.

4 drops of Peppermint
3 drops of Sweet Fennel
3 Drops of Juniper

Peppermint can boost metabolism, get your circulation going, and help your body to shed extra weight. Sweet fennel can help suppress appetite, and Juniper promotes the elimination of wastes and increases circulation. It also has astringent properties, which can make your skin look smoother and even lessen the appearance of cellulite.

 
Fasting & Weight Control
Fasting is an effective and safe method of detoxifying the body and speeding up the metabolic rate. Fasting would give your organs a rest, clean your liver and kidneys, purify your blood, cleanse your colon and get rid of toxin build up in your tissues. You would feel better and look younger.

Partial fasting is recommended for people with busy daily schedules. A 2-day partial fasting programme is easy to follow and the result is marvelous. The steps are:

Breakfast : Eat only raw foods at breakfast. (Vegies & Fruits)

Lunch : Sacrifice your lunch and give way to 2 glasses of ‘green
drinks” or fruit drinks.

Dinner : regular dinner (including Grains, Vegies & meat). A glass of
fresh lemon water (1/2 lemon + 1 glass water) after regular
dinner.

Don't chew gums; since chewing anything would stimulate secretion of digestive juice & enzymes. With no food in the stomach, chewing hum would start a trouble. You only need to do the 2-day partial fasting ONCE in every two weeks. With less toxin residue in your body, a sensible diet, plus regular exercise, weight-control is not impossible. A positive attitute is a bonus.

 
The Importance of Exercise
Inactivity is a major reason for many people becoming overwight. Exercise burns calories, reduces stress and fatigue, helps to avoid joint ailments by increasing flexibility, and promotes restful sleep. It helps the digestive system and the circulatory system by increasing oxygen delivery to the cells throughout the body. When oxygen circulates more freely, nutrients can be quickly delivered to the parts of the body where they are most needed. Exercise also releases ‘feel good’ chemicals in your body known as endorphins which help to create well-being and overcome depression.

 
Say “No” To Fatty Goodies
Recent studies published in a variety of women's magazines report that the sweet tooth we all feared we had and have been attempting to control is actually a fat tooth. Ice cream, cookies, cheesecake, chocolate bars are loved by millions of people. All of them have high fat contents. Studies have found that it's consumption of fat, not calories, that is directly and positively associated with obesity.

 
Tips For Successful Dieting
1. Follow a balanced diet pattern, i.e. high grains, low fat.

2. Eat breaklast. Some experts say your body burns calories at a slower
rate as you sleep. Breakfast, they say, is your metabolism's wake-up
call, kicking it into calorie-burning mode. If you don't eat something in
the morning, you may ultimately burn fewer calories.

3. Include a good Multi Vitamin and Mineral supplement to help make up
the nutrients you may be missing out because of reduced food intake.

4. Cut down on sugar intakes.

5. Don't attempt to achieve unreal goals. Aim for 1-2 lbs as a start.

6. STAY POSITIVE!
