Conscious Living Circle and The Health Shoppe are our two arms for realizing our goals in promoting high quality living. Conscious Living Circle organizes and facilitates workshops and events that help enrich and improve our quality of life. The Health Shoppe selects and provides choice natural health and eco-friendly products and supports green and responsible consumerism through our on-line store . Conscious Living Circle Today, our health can be compromised in so many ways by our so-called "modern" lifestyle. Many of us are plagued by degenerative ailments, chronic pains and emotional stress, and only marginally manage to carry on our daily work and life. Our average life span has become longer, but the quality of our health has not become better. Our health burdens have greatly limited our freedom, creativity and our quality of life. However, this condition can be changed, if we take up new perspectives on the concept of health. While our mainstream medicine is busy combating diseases, killing germs and viruses, our mainstream society is also busy advocating methods for health prevention and treatments that either suppress or only partially cure our diseases. "Consult your doctor." is a very common statement we hear all the time. This collective hypnosis only strips us of our trust in our own body and reinforces our dependency on doctors. We seem to live in a state of unconscious helplessness regarding our health. As result we all end up being bigger and bigger burdens to ourselves, our relatives, and even our government. Our body is wiser then we knew or thought. In fact, at any given time, our body is working on its own to adjust its balance to maintain our health on all the physical, emotional and mental levels. At times of epidemic, some people are infected by the viruses while other are not. In a family, brothers and sisters born with the same pathological genes may not all manifest the disease in their lives. Research has shown that some people carry certain pathological genes in the body the whole life and never manifest the diseases. Is this just chance behind these phenomena, or are there more powerful, more mysterious reasons? We believe the human body, like Nature, is a mystery. There seems to be an inner self-restoring and self-healing force in operation. If we can learn to bring full awareness to our own body, and to respect this natural innate force, we can see a lot of our health issues in very different light. Only then can we change from helplessness and dependency to a much freer, healthier, autonomous and enjoyable life on all levels.
